Something shifted today. I can’t explain what. Everything just seemed to have more movement, more charm, more ease. I “got things done”; I connected, and got inspired. I reached out, I was held, I felt alive. And at the end of [my] day, I shared a moment, in complete silence, with total strangers that brought broad smiles to our faces and warm tears to our eyes. And now I sit alone, at my least favorite time of the day, the left side of my face warmed by a fire as I gaze to the East where the sun gently rises. I can’t remember the last time I watched a sunrise…let alone enjoyed being awake during this strange and unfamiliar time of day. Indeed, something shifted today.

And They Danced….

Yesterday evening I saw a bunch of people running to the beach with surfboards, no wetsuits (not unusual except that it was 50 degrees today). I was too curious not to follow them. When I got to the beach there was a news crew and 20+ bystanders peering into the sea, smiles covering their faces. What’s going on? I asked the man beside me. “The sunset…they’re covering the sunset.” My heart raced for a moment in the realization that life is absolutely amazing. So I turned my gaze and smiled into the sea.
